Will it work on my computer?

Kontakt 7 or Kontakt 7 Player are compatible with:

  • macOS 12 (Monterey) or higher
  • Natively compatible w/ Apple Silicon
  • Windows 10 & 11

What is Kontakt?

Our instruments are created using Kontakt by Native Instruments, the industry standard for sample based instruments.

You do not need to pay for Kontakt, our instruments work with the free version - Kontakt Player.

What version of Kontakt do I need?

You do not need to purchase Kontakt to use our instruments, they are compatible with Kontakt Player which is completely free to use.

Our instruments are not backwards compatible, so they cannot be opened in a version of Kontakt that is older than the one listed here.

  • STRANDS - Kontakt / Kontakt Player 7.7.0 or Higher
  • FOLDS - Kontakt / Kontakt Player 7.7.0 or Higher

Will it work in my DAW?

Kontakt has VST, VST3, AU and AAX format plugins, making it compatible with virtually any DAW, including:

  • Cubase
  • Logic
  • Garageband
  • Pro Tools
  • Live
  • FL Studio
  • Reaper
  • Bitwig
  • Studio One
  • Reason 10 or later

Will it work with Maschine or Komplete Kontrol?

Our products are all NKS Compatible and designed to integrate fully with Maschine and Komplete Kontrol. Making it easy to browse presets and access almost all the controls from the hardware.

How do I download & install my new product?

NATIVE ACCESS 2 IS REQUIRED TO INSTALL OUR PRODUCTS

IF NATIVE ACCESS ONLY GIVES YOU AN OPTION TO 'ADD LIBRARY' THEN PLEASE DOWNLOAD NATIVE ACCESS 2 FROM THIS LINK:

  1. Log in or sign up to a Native Instruments account.
  2. Install and launch Native Access.
  3. Click 'Add Serial'
  4. Enter the Serial Number provided to your when you purchased the product, it will have been emailed to you (check your Spam folder)
  5. Locate your Void & Vista product in the ‘Available’ or ‘Not Installed’ tab.
  6. Click Install.
  7. If you do not have Kontakt or the free Kontakt Player installed, locate these and Install too.
  8. When the installation is finished, open Kontakt, Maschine or Komplete Kontrol and you should now see your Void & Vista product in your library and ready to use.

    Where is my serial number?

    Your serial is provided on the order confirmation page after checkout is completed.

    It is also sent in one of two emails you receive after placing your order. If you can't see this then please check your spam/junk folder.

    Why am I getting an "Installation Failed" message in Native Access?

    If you get an "Installation Failed" error message in Native Access, it is likely because it does not have permission to install in the desired folder location. Please follow the instructions in this Native Instruments help guide to resolve this.

    How many computers can I install to?

    You can have our instruments installed on two computers that you own at a time. This is the same as all other Kontakt Player licensed instruments.

    I have a problem with Native Access, what can I do?

    If you are experiencing issues with Native Access, or your Native ID account, that are not addressed here, please contact Native Instruments support.

    Why am I getting high CPU usage in Kontakt?

    If you are finding your CPU is struggling, this may be solved by increasing the Buffer Size of your audio interface.

    How can I resolve the "Content Missing" error message in Kontakt?

    This can happen when a Kontakt instrument folder is moved to a new location on your hard drive.

    To fix it, follow this guide to perform a Batch Re-Save in Kontakt.

    How can I resolve the "Path is invalid" error message in Native Access?

    This can happen if a Kontakt library is not in the location Native Access expects.

    How can I resolve the "No library found" error message in Kontakt?

    You may be running an old version of Kontakt. Please download the latest version of Kontakt using Native Access.

    If you have not purchased Kontakt 6 or 7, you can download the latest version of Kontakt Player.

    How can I resolve slow loading times in Kontakt?

    Very slow loading times in Kontakt can be caused by various issues.

    Sometimes it will be improved by using Batch Re-Save.

    It can also relate to Anti-Virus or File Backup software slowing the process of Kontakt searching for files.

    We have also found on macOS that giving Kontakt "Full Disk Access" can improve loading times and generally improve performance.
